Birthdays 1.5 Submitted To the App Store

Things might be quiet on this blog, but we’ve been slowly working on an update to Birthdays version 1.5. It has the following updates:

  • iOS 4.0 compatible. It supports multitasking, meaning that when you switch back to Birthdays it is exactly where you left off.
  • During that switch in we update the list of birthdays from your address book, so the people, dates and times of birthdays are always up-to-date.
  • Birthdays now uses local notifications to alert you of someone’s birthday. The date of the birthday you will get a notification at 9am your time. You will also get a  notification 5 days before someone’s birthday, to give you time to consider what you are going to do to help celebrate it.

The previous release to to this one added a group at the beginning of the birthdays table that lists birthdays that happened in the past two weeks.

Thank you for your support and your feedback!

Keep track of birthdays on your iPhone or iPod Touch

We’ve just finished submitting our next application for the iPhone OS – Birthdays.

The whole point of this application is to have a quick way to see which of your friend’s birthdays is coming up and to have an easy way to wish them a happy birthday.

We hope you enjoy it, and look forward to any feedback you might have once it’s available for sale.

Update: It’s available for sale! It will be a few hours before it is available in all the stores, but that was less than 48 hours turn around for a new application!! Way to go Apple!
